Our under carpet heating is produced using a PTFE coated element. The element is sandwiched between a double sided aluminum foil. Thus, the units are extremely durable, waterproof and effective.
Under carpet heating can be used under most wall to wall carpeting, as well as, under loose laid rugs around your home. We do not recommend using heating under rubber backed carpets. The backing can block the heat and thus result in the carpeting being damaged.
The heating should not be placed under any solid base furniture. IE: under beds, nightstands, etc. We manufacture a wide variety of different size and shaped units, thus, we have heating that can accommodate any room size or lay out.
The heating units are placed between the under felt and the carpeting. In a loose laid scenario, you will simply place the unit on a piece of under felt beneath your rug and plug it into a wall plug. Thus there is no need for a thermostat in this scenario.
